what to do, fair display.
OK so I've got about a month to get my stuff together for the county fair I've been invited to. I got a question. I've been looking and a bunch of tractors have displays associated with them. What all would be good to have on a display and where to get good color copies? I would like to have like a detailed spec sheet (engine, horsepower, transmission...) but I didn't know if there were advertisements with that or just the owner's manual pages. And what about magazine ads? Anything else that would be cool to show off?

You could make your own spec. sheets Gary. Or do a bigger board try spec sheet that you could stand up beside your tractors.

Gary, you could start by looking for them from other members who may have some of those and send, email,print out your own copies... I'll start with the 127 spec sheet....      Let me know if you want any others.

Lew, that's the kind of stuff I am thinking of. I have a couple of the pages you posted, but they are photo copied and look pretty crappy, nothing I would be proud enough to print off and make into a "professional" diorama.
Has anyone purchased any of those ads from ebay that are like $3, $4 a piece, are the quality of them decent? I just want this to look good if you know what I mean. Last year I was told there were 15 GTs in the category and NO cubs! All WH, JD, Sears. I've saw one of the JD guys and it's for a 140 H3 or something like that, and his is like a 3x5 photo board on an easel, pretty cool looking.

You could borrow a banner from the local cub cadet dealer that describes the history of cub cadet. My local dealer has one that goes through the main features that debuted certain years from '61 on. In return for borrowing the banner, you could hand out the 50th anniversary calendars with their dealership stamped on it for free advertisement. I also saw where guys would enlarge the pictures of the traveling circus that would advertise the 123, when they were painted up to look like tiger cubs, to advertise/showcase their new hydrostatic transmissions. You could also have fair goers enter a drawing for a model cub cadet or something that the local dealer may donate for advertisement. Hope these help a little...
