CC 680 questions
I have a cc680 and when I use it for awhile, it the pto doesn't want to switch on when it gets too hot. I have no clue as to what it would be, I just guessed that it was the pto kohler put on the k301 because my grandfather had a 312 Deere with the same motor, and it had the same problems before fire sent it to the grave, and also when I have the 680 at full throttle it likes to go faster by itself, and I dont know if there's and ajustment somewhere on the pump or something. All help is appreciated!

Did you look here for the PTO information....?? PTO
It is recommended by Kohler, than the motor be run at full throttle while under any load for maximum cooling. The PTO was made by a vendor (ie: Warner) and has no relationship with Kohler. It is an accessory that was added to the motor at the CC/MTD Factory. With regards to the speed up, you may want to check the items in the attached image. You may have to tighten friction nut - Item #22,
