i'm re-wiring my 147... got a wiring harness and jumped through flaming hoops to get it installed...
my ignition switch has 5 prongs... my plug for the ignition has 3 female slots... (not for a true three prong because on a three prong ignition switch has the middle prong turned 90 degrees. here's a picture of it plugged in too... i can't try it out because upon trying to remove the plug for the neutral safety switch, the switch completely fell apart... it really didn't take that much effort to break it... time for a new one... what's your take on this ignition / wire plug thing? seems when i removed the wires (all completely blue mind you thanks to the P O) from the ignition switch, not all the prongs had something attached thanks!

no dice... no power getting to the starter / gen at this point... i tried jumping the terminals of the plug that attaches to the ignition switch with no luck there as well... any advice here? i'll triple check my diagram but i'm pretty sure all the colors are where they are supposed to go...

You need the correct Ignition Switch, being: IH-60736-C3. It is available from your local Cub Cadet or Case-IH dealer(s). If that is not practical, I am sure the sponsors at the top of the page would be more than willing to send you one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
