Default hydro controls
Is the hydro cam control supposed to be completely free moving - while hydro unit is out of tractor? Meaning that there is 0 resistance to its movement. Im pretty sure its good, and that the control resistance is in the control lever, but just checking.

I thought the resistance to hold set speed was in the linkage, my 109 had a allen screw at bottom of lever rod that I tightened a little to add resistance to lever movement. It helped keep it from going wide open if you let go of the lever. The trunion spring was worn and I just put a new spring in, could use a little welding but fits tight enough to work for now, but haven't got it back together to check operation. I am new so I am learning also.

That is true, but the OP is talking about the cam plate on the hydro pump itself, which is supposed to be free to move. The friction adjustment is on the control lever itself.
