Default Got the K321 almost stripped...help.
Just have to pull the exhaust elbow, valves and dipstick tube. Is the tube pressed in or threaded. I cannot find any info in the manual on removal. I would like to get the block to the machine shop this week for boring and valve grinding.

I don't know why you want to remove the dipstick tube...there's no reason to.

The K321 tube on my 1450 is pressed into the block. I removed it before I had the blocked dipped and bored.

Default Dipstick tube
Don't do like I did a few days ago. Turned mine over on its side and broke the funnel part of the dip stick tube off. So got to get one before it goes back together. Broke off rather easy too.

The tube is a press in. Thank you Steve. It came out without much fuss. As to why I want it pulled, that would be so my cranky machinist has less to complain about. It also makes it much easier to clean prior to painting. The exhaust elbow came out with a little more effort, quite a bit more. The valves are out and now it is ready to go to the machinist.

Glad to help...Here's mine after coming back from the machine shop and put the tube on last because it makes re-assembling the motor a lot easier.
