Bring it in the garage to repair? The guy I got my 1200 from kept using the 1200 and had to replace the drive line as well.

Default ISO mounts

Really not that bad of a fix. I recently put the solid mounts (saw them on EvilPay, billet aluminum) in my 1450, put it all back together------used it for about 10 minutes, fillings came out of my teeth, then tore it back down pulled the engine again and put the ISO's (new ones) back in and still got the yard mowed by dark. Simple fix. Like the last post says, don't keep running it or you'll end up having to replace the rag joints (which should probably be replaced anyway) or run the chance of dicking up the driveline/engine coupling.

Default QL ISO Mounts

I have seen them so bad in the past that the stem on the breather wore a hole in the side panel! Fix it,work it and blow some Kohler smoke!

And the ISO-mount rails, oil pan, etc, too.

I'd also get the Cub Cadet ISO motor mounts from your dealer.

Just had the cradle mod done for my 1200 and a 1450. Great instructions are provided right here on OCC!

Those welds sure look a lot better than mine did. My welds probably won't hold water, as they say, but then...
Had a picture around here somewhere. Can't find it.

D Day2613

I'm glad someone finally tried the solid mounts and admitted that they made the Cub basically unusable. Thanks for the input.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
