Default 149 Cam Stop

The 149 I just got was missing the cam stop and knob for the lift. I have them now. There is a hole in the frame where it goes but the hole isn't threaded. Am I'm missing something inside the frame that it threads to? Parts diagram show the cam and knob. Not enough detail on the frame picture to figure it out. Not sure if someone knocked something off the frame that the knob would thread to.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but there should be a nut welded to the inside of the frame that the knob threads into. I may be wrong, b/c I am not at home to look at mine.

I was thinking along those lines and thought someone could confirm. The rear 3pt lift arm is in the way looking on the inside of frame. I put my finger through the hole and can't feel anything on the inside like a nut was removed. Not sure why someone would do that unless the lift hit the cam and popped off the inside nut.

There should be a large nut welded to the inside of the frame. Here is a picture.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
