Gentlemen:
I have (what i think) is a 100 with square fenders? Did the 100 come with square fenders? Its whats left of an old junker i'm breaking down. Its got the 100 decal on the hood, but no sign of a serial number....yet. Metalrain |

Nope...somebody added them from a later model or kludged something else together.

Both my 100's were very hard to read the serial numbers, in fact one I just can't make it all out. Just depended on how hard the guy on the line felt like swinging his hammer that day!

Well...i'm still trying to figure out what this thing is....its got a 100 decal on the hood, but the hood/decal must of been changed. The square fenders look factory fit...all the bolt holes line up...still digging for a serial number.....can't find nothing on the deck either... it looks all cast iron.

You can bolt the square fenders onto a 70/100. |

OK...its a 100....i checked a few pics online and its got the same dash/foot rests/and nose front of a 100....i was unaware you could put square fenders on a 100. They looked like they bolted right up. When i bought a 1450, the guy threw in the 100....it was motor-less and alot of parts taken off it...oh well....thanks guys

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
