Default Restore Or Not?
I have this old girl and there's not one problem that I know of. It's just showing her age. I was thinking about making this my first restore, but I am leaning towards just paint and cleaning. What would you guys do? Seems kinda stupid to tear her down for no reason?

Is that the original paint? If so, I would just leave her as is - looks great. I enjoy tractors in the "work clothes". Also, it can only be original once!

Yea, I think it is the original paint. Maybe a good pressure washing in the spring will make it look better. You can hardly see the engine it's so dirty.
PS: If anyone has an under carriage for that blade, let me know unless you think it's worth a fortune.

Yea, I know, but I do like my stuff to be good looking, just like my better half. And before Sam jumps me, I did put air in that front tire. I have a great idea, I think I will weld some onto those rear fenders to cover all of the tire?

If your going to work it after you paint it then I say go for it, if it's gonna be a trailer queen that your afraid to scratch then leave it alone. I'm all for show tractors but I like to use my painted tractors and if I want to go to a show I just wash them up and they still look new.

I'd bet there a lot of folks here that wished their rigs looked as good as that one

I'm sitting here drooling over that seat!!
My 104, that I just started on, has NO seat at all!
Plus it's painted??, I think that's whet the P.O. thought he had done, Caterpillar yellow?

I like it as is. If it needs mechanical work then do that but cosmetically I'd leave it alone.
