I put a post on the "Wanted" for one of these. You can still find them new but they cost 22 bucks with shipping!! This afternoon I decided to make one for my 1450 and it's much heavier gauge steel than the factory OEM! A little time and high heat paint and I'm good to go and still have 22 bucks in my wallet!!!

What was your reasoning for wanting to deflect the exhaust?

IH made these for Quiet Lines to deflect the exhaust burns off of front blades and snow throwers. I added it because I put a chrome extension on my 1450 muffler and wanted to avoid exhaust burns on my front blade. Plus I really like "Old School Quiet Lines" and doing Modifications.

I need to do that on my 782...the exhaust melts all the snow on the right half of the thrower, which then freezes into a block I have to chip off before I can drive it into the garage...

Thanks Guys......Let me know how long the rounded part that clamps to the muffler needs to be for stock length mufflers and I'll make some more.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
