Default 1964 Cub Cadet 100, Serial #98857

Attachment 117336I have acquired an older semi-restored Cub 100 that a friend of mine had sitting in a barn for many years. It has the Kohler K241AS, spec #46270C. Engine spins freely. I'm just getting to the fuel system now. Carburetor is a Walbro WHG, model #4705387. Is this the correct carburetor for this tractor? I have carburetor mostly cleaned but don't know how that main jet and seat come out. The carburetor bowl, needle with rubber tip and plastic float look fine. Would anybody know the rebuild kit for this or can I just get away with a new O Ring bowl gasket and give it a shot? I am attaching photos of the carburetor and the tractor.

I personally don’t believe that carb came on that tractor. I believe the walbro brand didn’t show up until the 82 series spread frame models were out. That being said there’s a bunch of those I’ve thrown away over the years just because they can’t be fine tuned as well as the Carter/ IH models. Just my thoughts. Good looking tractor though

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
