Default Picked up long ago

I have had this Original since 2008. It ran when I parked it. I remember when I picked this up the clutch was in need of some help.

It has been in storage all these years and it is time to get it running again.
It needs a few things, but the tank is clean, and the choke and throttle cables move freely.

Axle seals and the tranny needs a going over.
Carb clean but we will check to see it will start first.
Oil change.
See what is up with the clutch.
Remove that pesky creeper as it need to be gone over, over to my other Original.
Steering has some slop.
This and that and the other thing...

I put the heat on in the shack was able to do a little work on the "O" the last few days. Removed the dash tower as it was in bad shape, had some PO mods to it. Put all the parts from the old to the one I had laying around. Did a little rewiring to the harness and replaced the VR with a know working one I had laying around. Then I tackled the creeper removal. Simple way of removal, tip it on its side, no laying around! The flex coupler was a little worn and I can see why I was having issues with the clutch.

More updates in a few days...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
