Turning a Diesel
Im not looking to mow grass and feel like i just used a bowflex. Any help on making these turn easier?
I bought that 605 bearing. It makes me really doubt that little bearing instead of an aluminum nut will make a difference. How tight do i run that jam down on the bearing? your thoughts? Thanks Brett

Tighten it until there is no longer any play in the pivot bolt, and then tighten it another 1/16 to 1/8 turn or so it preloads the bearing slightly but not so much that it binds.
That nut isn't aluminum, and it will make a difference because the force required to overcome the sliding friction of the nut and washer is a lot greater than the force required to overcome the rolling friction of the bearing.
