Default 105 added going for the whole series

Just acquired this 105. Guy I got it from was a neighbor to the original owner. Used it as a kid to mow for them. When he was little he said him and his dad pulled all the maintenance on it. 15 yrs ago he bought it for himself. His dad died, wanted to sell it to someone to fix it up.

DIY wheel weights, filled a brake drum with lead. Original motor, rebuilt 10 yrs ago. I pulled off the 42 in deck and put my 48 on it, didn’t miss a beat. Part of me wants to start resto, other part doesn’t want to stop using it.

No, cart didn’t come with the 105, just happened to be hooked up when I took the picture. Been working it before I tear it apart to check for any major malfunctions. Now I can’t bring myself to tear it down. Nice to have one your not worried about scratching.

Got this couple of years ago. It looked like the guy fished it out of the river when I got it.

Think my vote would be to keep using it as is--as long as it runs good.

If it ain't broke don't fix it! My 127 looked like yours appearance wise. Sort of wished I wouldn't of started sanding and painting parts. Sometimes they just look good the way they are shown the hard work they done over the years. Congrats on a good deal!...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
