Cost too much for me too, but i've gotta have it. I'm postponing a crown on a tooth to buy this, besides this is much less painful

Sminkey,

Looks like a nice, well maintained machine. Have fun on it and have a safe 8hr. trip!!! Most difficult part is hauling it home when you would probably rather be riding it!!!

Default just got home!

Well, here she is in the back of my Element still:biggrin2.gif:. Will post some pics tomorrow of it. From what I can see the only thing missing is the bracket that holds the choke cable(on the air filter) and the shifter knob was replaced with a threaded on solid piece of machined brass(pic to follow). As the previous owner was a machinist and has passed away I think I'll leave the shifter knob on there in his memory. He kept this thing in sweet shape. The creeper won't stay in high, you have to hold it there for it to work. Any thoughts on what that could be?? This also has a decal on the hood from a dealer here in Fairfield VT!! Nice to know this tractor originaly came from VT. It does have a little crack in the frame at the gear box, but I'll be able to weld that up just fine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
