Hi all,
I have a 1641 that came with a 52 inch deck. The deck is shot so I put a 44c deck back on it. I need to see if anybody knows what length or part number for the pto to deck belt is? The old one seemed too tight and was in bad shape so it was toast in no time. Thx for any help. |

First, welcome to OCC..........
![]() The 44C (190-358-100) mower deck was NEVER intended to be used on a 1641 tractor. Thus, there is no information from Cub Cadet for this match up. The only way that I know is to take a string and run it around the pulleys to get a length, or "trial and error" method to see what best fits. The belt width will be 5/8" (or a Section B) belt.

The 190-318-100 (44") is NOT the same as the 190-358-100 (44") mower deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
