Got 6” fairly quick now all rain turning to slush. My 982 with the 450 blower is waiting for exhaust and intake manifold gaskets, so I cleared the drive with the 149 loader. Took the deck of the 682 and installed the qa42b I got an an auction over the summer for $12. By the time I got it hooked up and running the snow was too heavy and wet for it to work. Swept leaves and tilled them in the garden and mowed grass two weekends ago and now this

Only a wet dusting here with temps at 33°. Suppose to climb to 38° tomorrow. Not going to last.

We have ton's of Yankees here that tell us how us Southerners can't drive in the white stuff. How they never are late for work or schools are never closed unless its way over a foot. But the national news tonight had plenty of footage to prove otherwise. Fake news?

My wife and I both have four wheel drive vehicles and make it home just fine. Amazing what a little patience and good tires can do. |

My experience in the south (Southern Mississippi) in January/February was widespread panic over freezing temperatures with any chance of precipitation. It's more of a "crap, well it's that time of year again" up here. Then again summer down there was absolutely miserable.

![]() Had a Canadian and a guy from Connecticut with us for a while. We figured 10 inches of snow they would know to stay home---WRONG. Had to explain to them. Got a guy from Minnesota, real deal--didn't hardly wear a jacket all winter. Gave him advanced warning of our winter holidays. But he gave me the weirdest look when I was talking about eating Okra, even had to spell it for him. It was on his bucket list to ride out a hurricane, guess he got that one checked off twice this year!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
