Default The 100 build begins

Figured I would start a new thread for this. My other post tells the tale of how I ended up with the 100. My son and I decided even though its not the O that we wanted, it's worth refurbishing anyway. So we started on it tonight. Worked for an hour before dinner then another hour after his homework was finished. Found an old battery eye down below the steering while we were in there. Here's our progress so far.

Looks good so far, now, for our necks and eyeballs, you have to get the pictures oriented correctly, I am not sure oriented is the proper politically correct word though...
BTW your are just a boy, or is that a stand in?

Nice to see you involve your son. Just remember, he might get his hands dirty!

I like those diamond tread turfs!
In the other pics I see the valve stem on the outside.
Are they CC or JD rims?

I see Miller Tire sells a 6-12 Bridgestones 4-ply like those for $144 each.

Good start Coop.
Good thing your boy is there to supervise, and to make sure the task at hand is done correctly. Does he have a name, or is it Boy?
Nice seeing the young, take interest.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
