I made up a "light bar" for my CC100 today.
It's attached to the bottom of my battery box with two 1/4" bolts. The only modification to my Cub are two 1/4" holes drilled (out of sight) in the outer edge of the floor of the battery box. I don't have the lights wired yet, but even the toggle switch will get installed on the "light bar". The whole thing can be removed by removal of the two 1/4" mounting bolts and the two "disconects" in the wiring going to the toggle switch. Here are a few pictures,.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Cool light bar. Thats another one of those (why didnt i think of that) ideas. That should really light it up. Is that an M in the background with the loader on it ? Looks like it has a wide front on it. |

Diz,... Yeah, that's an old 1950 Farmall "M" with wide front end. It doesn't look like much, but I use it almost "daily" for different odd jobs around the farm.

JMD,... it seems pretty darn solid and the lights don't weigh much, so I think it'll hold up pretty well. (only time will tell)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
