Default Anyone have a pic of a Cub 60's era tractor tool box?

I'm looking for a pic of an original Cub Cadet tool box for my CC 123. I cannot find a pic or where it would have been mounted. Thank you

I don't ever recall that Cub Cadet had a "tool box". They had a Utility Box that was mounted in the rear above the draw bar.

This is from the 1970 accessories catalog; I think it's all they offered. For the short tunnel tractors, they did have a tray that mounted under the seat, between the fenders.

Default Pic of tool box I picked up today

Thanks for the closeup of the Cub catalog with the utility tool box pic. The one I picked up looks a lot like it and may be the Farmall version because of the red color? It is 18" long like the one in the catalog and has the handle, rounded corners and looks to be the same clasp. Not sure where it would mount, any ideas? Thanks!

That does look to be the same box. I'm sure they were available for everything they manufactured at the time. With being 18", there aren't too many places it could mount on a Cub Cadet. Maybe on the side, but I don't think there is enough room. I'd say the rear is a pretty good place for it, as long as you still have access to your drawbar.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
