Default I dodged that big twister Mon nite

Monday night we had a big squall line come threw around 7:40pm. I was watching the news as all stations had the weather guy talking about it . There was a small tornado or two up past St. Joe and they were focusing on that . When it was getting near KC, I was lining up the radar with what would hit us and noticed a shark fin shaped element in the red and green to the radar .

Weather guy never said anything but that strong thunderstorms would occur , but then this line was moving 50-60 mph at times .

Then there is a report of severe damage at Johnson Co. airport and a home like a tornado. The wind blowing 50 mph from the SW, but minutes later it was dead still with a bit of hail. There had been a constant howl from the wind but now I hear a distant odd howl, more of a roar.

Then came the strong NW wind, rain and tornado damage 4-5 miles NW of me then a F3 hits Oak Grove a bit later 400+ homes with severe damage 40-60 totaled, It was 1/4 mile wide and over 158 mph winds ....that tornado jumped right over me by lining up the track.

Good to see you're still with us.
That same line of storms hit us here in northern Illinois. I watched the radar for over an hour. Still have winds gusting to 50mph two days later.

Thanks all
Twisters in early March is not good

Did you see the ones around St Louis 3 weeks ago ? People were driving on a highway and a tornado picked up junkyard cars then dropped them on the roadway
Think 1 person died after hitting them
I saw it on TV

We have had the wind here in NY for the last 18 hours. Glad you were spared. Thoughts and prayers for those affected.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
