The threads for the exhaust manifold are stripped out on my 1450. I see a lot of guys with custom straight pipes. Is everyone building these themselsves, or using a shop? I would like to run a straight pipe down and out the bottom next to the pto. Also, need to use an exhuast flange since the head is stripped out. Any suggestions? Where to buy pipe and a bender?? Thanks in advance.

With a 1" EMT 90, and piece of 1/4 plate for a flange, a 8" baffle, a brazing torch, some rod, about $12 and an imagination you could build a really cool stack. Here's mine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I can't help you with the imagination, you're on your own. Scott |

This one cost me $5 at a local muffler shop, and took about 10 minutes for them to do...

Also the baffle and EMT is very light, I don't think you'll even need a brace. And they sound very nice.

SCOTT,
I think that you should make couple sets of those up. So some of us can buy them from you. JOE

Those are pretty awesome Scott. I think Jay's suggestion is the way to go for me. A lot easier on my limited amount of free time. Thanks everyone.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
