I made a deal with Gilles (aka Oldskull) for the 1872 I had for sale, the deal involved meeting half way which turns out to be where Lew lives. Yesterday I hit the road at 6:30 in the morning and arrived at Lew's a little before noon, Gilles showed up shortly after. It was great to meet Gilles and his wife and it was even better to see the look on his face when I fired up the 1872 to back it off my trailer. As always it was great to hang out with Lew for a few hours, everytime I go there there's something new to look at. If you haven't been to Lew's yet I highly recommend it, just make sure you bring lots and lots of cash.

Tim it was a pleasure meeting you and kidding around with Lew! I have fabulous funny story I will share in a later post, I can't say it all like I tell you in PM but it was a hell of a trip and the ending was even better!
You have seen my extremely tired face because the frickin fridge of my hotel room make more noise then the 1872 hydro pump every time he start! Josy and I barely sleep 2 hrs! I expect a bit more from a $164 looney Hotel room for Chris sake! LMAO Now that 1872 is "officially" a new Canadian immigrant ![]() Thanks again Tim ![]() PS: Josy ask me to tell Lew he his not a true American because true American living in the back country have dogs! Maybe he is afraid the dog will chew some plastic parts from his Cyclop collection?

![]() Most crazy stuff of this trip story… We have no wild turkey in Québec and I couldn’t believe that 25 pound bird can fly, never seen one before….Well driving at 65Mph on the interstate 87 HW 2 of them flew over my front hood! Beautiful but scary! 2 hr later it’s getting dark and Josy scream, watch out! A “platoon” of wild turkey was crossing the HW just in front of us, I jump on the brake and with some luck one turn back and I manage to pass between them! Now what’s next? A Racoon? A Deer? A Bear? A Moose? I tell Josy. About one mile ahead of that “close encounter” I see a poor guy who was removing what's left of one of those bird off is damaged front end sub compact car! He’s having a bad day. About 1h30hr later a very high lifted F250 with many auxiliary light past me , since I was doing 70Mph I estimate his speed to 80Mph, he was about 500 foots in front of me and I see him hitting his brake so hard he almost flip his truck! First think I knew he just dodge a deer by only few inches! After that he slow down and I stay behind using him as a shield! On my way back home the next day we saw maybe 10 dead Deer and not the green kind one! The best was to come ...Some people can make your day, it is what it is!

Something I always wondered was how do the customs people view garden tractors as far as bringing them into or out of the US/Canada?
is there a cost? I haven't been to Canada since they didn't want to let me and my girlfriend ( now my wife) back in, about 52 years ago. Looking back, I should've just stayed there!! Ha,LOL!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
