Default This Will Be My Next Cub

No waiting this time, guys. This will be my next cub. It's a nice and straight 100 with some nice options. It will have hydraulic lift added. The engine will have some governor work done. Will have to get some parts, once I get the tractor. Would like to find a nice screen for the grille and the original steering cap. Going to build another Dually, when all is said and done. Here's a pic for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks DeltaCub and Lew!

Not sure yet, Lew. A new decal set will come with it. Jenn and I may repaint the hood, at some point.

I kind of like it the way it is. Doesn't look abused at all, just tired. Change the muffler and put original front tires back on it and you are good to go. I would wash off the mold(I guess that's what the green stuff is--or it was stabled with some Deere's). Personally I think the missing headlight adds character!

Looks like the ole girl is kinda winkin' at ya Allen. Looks like a familiar red cart in the background, too.......hmmmmm. It is great when friends hold things for ya! Somehow, I knew a 100 was in your future, as I had predicted in your other, older thread.

Allen,
Nice find! I always knew "Dually" would come back to your stable at some point. That was always your favorite. Congrats. Looks like a great start with good bones. And fenders/headlights to boot. Back up to two cubs again. Now you can get Jenn on a "real cub".

Thanks guys! I like them original also. The tractor isn't home yet, it will have the work done first.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
