Default Trouble shooting process for 129

I had just finished mowing the lawn last week and and saw a patch nearby that I missed. Put it into reverse and the cub did not respond. Tried forward again and still no response. Tried to find info on this but not much by way of pics or diagrams with part labels explaining what to look for. Does anyone have a link to reference, or know off hand where to start to trouble shoot?

Thanks in advance.

Can't say I'm familiar with a 129 but it looks like its the pre cursor to the 1250. Looks like it has a tunnel cover too. I'd take off the tunnel cover, start the tractor and see if the driveshaft is spinning. If it is but the hydro input yoke is not (part #4), you may have a sheared spirol pin (part #36). Not sure from the picture if the driveshaft output yoke is an integral part of the driveshaft? If not there may be a sheared pit at that point.

Good luck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
