As most of you know I picked up an ih 3312 that I plan to restore, I already found decals and should have enough left over paint from the 1811 to get it done. The engine runs but it makes some noise which after a bit of research is probably caused by a worn out lower crank bushing, the popular repair for this is to have the case machined out to accept a bearing. My issue is trying to find hard parts for it and I'm hoping someone here happens to know what model lawnboy would be the same to help in finding parts. Here's some pics to start off this project.

Olds,
I could be a mile off here, but as a kid in the 50's, seems like power products was tied to Tecumseh products and lawnboy was in there too, it might give you something to google till a more knowledgeable person replies than I am. |

Yes it is but I can't find much in the way of parts searching that way, most sites want to know the model # of the mower which is why I'd like to know what model lawnboy is the same.

Stop by NAPA and ask to see their Outdoor Power Equipment catalog commonly called the small engine catalog. There is a Lawn Boy model reference chart in it. It's probably the same as a 72xx Lawn Boy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
