Default 782 Front axle conversion
I have a IH 782 that I've installed power steering on that works great. I was thinking about changing the front axle to a Cyclops axle to get a tighter turn radius. What model would I need and will my wheels work on the Cyclops spindles? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

I am going to install a "cyclops" axle under one of wide frames and one of my Quietlines. The donor tractors were 186X. One came from EBAY and the other from a member from this forum. Your front wheels came with 1" spindle bearings...same as the "cyclops". Should fit!

186x, 1&2 or 3&4? Differences in the two axles ya kno!

I read somewhere that one of the axles raises the front end 2 in.

I just looked it up in the book,all the axles are the same for the 1861,2,3,and 4 719-3100

There is a difference in spindles. The early 1863 had the different spindles. If I'm not mistaken, look them up in the parts tree.

I did, same part number, maybe a design change but kept the same number.The 1860 has different spindles and axle.
