Default Throttle/ governor question
When my throttle is wide open, or what seems to be according to the lever(on dash). Should the governor be all the way open? My k301 seems to only sit about half way on full throttle. Now don't get me wrong. She is still plenty fast, but should she be wide open? I know it is something the nay sayers say you shouldn't touch. I am not looking to pull or race. So i don't really need the speed. I was just wondering if this is correct, or should it be corrected?

No, when the governor is set up correctly, when at high-idle, no-load it won't even be open halfway. I suggest checking the engine's high idle speed and see if it is correct.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
