Default Saved one from the yard.

Saved this old 123 from a scrapyard near my grandpas friends house. It was $175. I wish I could have gotten it for less but he was pretty firm. Still not entirely sure what I'm going to do with it And I really don't know anything about it. How long it's been sitting or anything.. No clue if it runs and if it does does it smoke?

For sure you did well!! I keep hoping to stumble into a 123 like that.. its one of the few models I have never owned... maybe one day! I ran into a 128 like that the other day.. didn't need it but the price was right and I couldn't bear to leave it there!

You got a deal there! I wish my hood had that amount of patina. I'm not going to restore my 123 and my hood is "too good"
Anyway like olds said the back of that tractor has more than what you paid for it bolted on

That's kinda what I was hoping on. I didn't even see the spring assist until we loaded it up and my eyes widened. Lol! The lift arm is pretty much toast though. Maybe I can find one of those external hydro lifts or something. It's still all up in the air. I know it'll need a wiring harness. I've already wired up a 1250 so I have one under my belt.

Excellent find and save!! The first of the hydrostats and one of the last all steel constructions. A double bracket on the lower 3 point and all. You will really enjoy that 123 and be glad that you saved it, as it becomes one of your favorite rides. It was meant to be that it found you and you found it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
