I bought a 73
I found a 73 today. It has potential. It has fenders,a creeper,wheel weights and an IH spring assist. Missing carburetor and clutch shield. I think the 73 is one of the best looking Cubs. I LOVE the round fender tractors!
I have not seen any wheel weights like these. Can anyone identify them?

Excellent Tim. My 73 is probably my favorite, great score on all the options. What's your plans? Stellar custom build or restore?

Thanks,OLDS. Alvy, This is just one I accidently stumbled upon and couldn't pass up. Probably a project I will save for retirement.(I'm 54 now) I suppose it would be a crime to do anything but refurbish it to mostly original. (Since I understand they are maybe the fewest produced model). It even has the correct exhaust elbow/muffler. I have no doubts it would run with a good carb.

The 73 is the last of the economy line cubs (7 hp). You are really going to enjoy driving that one around. I just put the creepy gear in mine, which also has the IH springy assist and round fenders. Sometimes the really good ones just find you and that lil' guy found you and a good home. Glad you scored it!
Wheel weights on it are not familiar to me.....sorry. Cub Cadet 123

I think it looks great too. I like how the rear looks like something made 10+ years earlier but the front is like it's big brothers.
