Default 104

I have a 104 i upgraded to 12hp that i got from a buddy, and got it running good but noticed other day that the front pully is lose. Do i have to pull pto clutch to tighten? And did the 104 come with hydro lift? I also have a 105 hydro drive with hydro lift and plow but am considering installing pump and blade on 104 and possibly selling 105 with snow blower and mower deck. Any info is helpfull and appreciated thanks.

John.

What pulley are you referring to? Starter generator pulley? Also hydraulic lift was an option and can be transferred to the 104. Some already had holes in te frame and some not

Drive pulley for pto. Just swapped engine couple weeks ago but needed to use tractor so i was not able to take my time and go over every thing. Wondering bout hydro because i dont care for the hydro drive on 105. Pain to plow with. And have 3ph arm on 105 i want to switch, looking at building single bottom plow. Tires loaded with chains but no weights yet...

John.
There are two round cutouts / access holes in the back of the PTO basket on the pulley. I think you might be able to get a long hex wrench into the set screws without disassembling it.

Finally get my 105 back home tomorrow!! Gonna start stripping the hydro pump and 3ph and some other stuff i got to transfer to the 104. Gotta switch hoods back around. Guy i got them from had both tore apart and miss-matched stuff when putting back together, not huge deal to most people(him) but i like to have the hoods match the tractor. I do not have the wiring harness for lights for some reason but 105 has the bulb mounts in it. What do i hook lights up to? So they come on with key? Will have pics tomorrow as long as its not raining too hard.

The lights on the 104/5 should have it's own switch. They are not meant to be hooked to the key.

The OEM switch was mounted to the tower just below the dash on the LH side of the tractor.

I have not seen a switch, or a place to put one on either tractor. Only a spot for lighter on dash in right hand top corner. Can some one post a pic where it belongs. And where would i look for a set of 3pth arms? Any body have pic of them and possibly measurements? I may fab a pair. Thanks for any help!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
