Back in November 2014, Kohler introduced a new 3.4-liter diesel that kind of flew under the radar here in the United States. This engine produce up to 134 horsepower and qualify for Tear 4 emission without a DPF.

I looked at them, but it going to take far too many mods for my narrow frame project

I Agree! Enough torque for a quarter ton pickup!

Thats a lot of power / torque
my 83 Audi 5000 turbo diesel auto had a 2.2 L turbo and it would pull away from most anything on big long hills how much ? has to be $6,000 -8000 |

Minimum of a 500 our oil change interval, not too shabby!

Nice, too bad it won't fit anything we play with and it's another re-badged engine like the Perkins/Cat deal. This one is built by Lombardini Group. Oh well. Thanks for sharing.

Speaking of rebranded....GM new Canyon Pickup is powered by a Chinese licensed copy of the VM Motori 2.8L diesel engine I got in my Jeep,(London taxl 1,000,000 capable engine) but GM did well with the Cruze diesel so I'm confident. Lot of progress have been done in diesel motorization lately and since Canada sign a free trade with South Korea, some neat little engine may find their way to our market up here for a LEW price :-)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
