i was going to suggest that but figured id offer a less criminal approach. id start by waving money in his face and if that doesnt work move on to abduction.

All kidding aside, Olds4512 is right, you can wave some money under his nose and if that doesn't do it, you can try to assure him that they will be going to a good home and possibly be restored to their original splendor.
If you have children, you might suggest that a "project" to work on with your children would be a good way to stay connected with them and give you some quality time with them. Other than that, your guess is as good as anyone's what will convince him to sell.

I'd give him a fair offer and if he dosn't bite give him your phone number and let him think about it. Possibly even write your number under the hood of one of his tractors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
