Default Yet another "How could someone do that to a Cub?!" thread (loosely)

I say loosely because while it's not an older Cub, it still bares our brethren's name. Why do people do this?!?

BTW: Feel free to share some of your horror stories on Cub's you've seen/had that have that "WHY?!!?" vibe to them.

It looks like he did it to change the exhaust
I did a similar modification on my MTD 20 hp GT I removed the hood as I was getting gassed by the exhaust coming back with out the hood I found it almost corrected the situation very poor design on the exhaust IMO

There is a difference between working machines, and restored ,,,

Heck, I get the ;
"How could someone do that to a Cub?!"

EVERY time I post a pic,,,,,,,, almost,,,,,,,

Was it better before, when it was covered in latex house paint, wrong wheels, and even MORE rust!??

And it was non-functional, on the way to the shredder!!

That smaller pic is after an hour with a pressure washer,,,

The "do that to a Cub?!" 's kinda grow on you, kinda like an ugly old dog that walks up to the house looking for food,,,,

Instead of a chew toy, I just bought the ugly Cub a magnetic LED light as a Christmas present,,,,

I saw that pic on facebook the other day. LMAO Have you happen to run across the pic of the cyclops with the home made light bar on the front with the rifle scabbard and 30 cal mounted to the engine side panel. WTF are they thinking.

There's a difference between someone who cobbles it up every time something is wrong and doesn't do any maintenance and what you do. Yours isn't "how could someone", it's taking a Cub to a new level! Necessity is the mother of all invention and that gravely blade, ATV tires, and other custom work scream built to work!!

I have seen that one around! I haven't decided if I like it yet or not, but he has added things he needs to make it what he wants. Kudos to him? The only thing I don't like about it is how he ran the exhaust from the front through some weird, bendy contraption to the rear. THAT seems pointless, or at the very least it could have been done in a better way

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
