Default 1450 saga

Hello all, I posted my progress of the 1450 on my pwr steering page to completion of the steering. I had a short list of other things to do before wanting to place her back in service. Nightow1 helped quite a bit through the whole process to this point, and hopefully continues!

So far we have done the cradle mod with new iso mounts, replaced the ball joints on the drive shaft, replaced the front wheel bearings, replaced the rear axle seals, replaced the rear cover plate gasket, replaced the hytran and filter, replaced the hydro fan, tightened up the front axle bracket, replaced the tie rod ends, beefed up some of the engine shields, changed the engine head, spark plug, points, condenser, and coil. Then Keith did a tune up on the engine. We are currently replacing the work light wiring, and auxilary hydraulic circuits to both the front and rear. HOPING to have it ready to go tomorrow or so.... maybe a month from now... who knows? (This started as a quick in and out project)

Either way, we have made progress since the begining of summer. Should have some pix tomorrow.

Night all!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
