Default New muffler

Ok guys, I'm sure this has been but I've got a question regarding a muffler for my 147.

I need a new one. I've done a search http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...hlight=muffler and have been thinking about which one to buy, and found this one:

http://www.amazon.com/NELSON-GLOBAL-.../dp/B00CHU8T9U

it cross references to the IH-393840-R91 sold by CCC/MTD. Why I'm leaning towards this one: it doesn't seem like a cheap/inexpensive one (which I don't want), it isn't as expensive as the MTD one, and is silver with the angular cut tip (which is important.)

Does anyone have any feedback, good or bad, about the one I have linked to amazon?

Thanks

Nelson is a good name brand muffler. I think they make the ones CC would sell you. I'd buy it. Good choice.

The seller on amazon didn't have any left when I went to pull the trigger (since I finally got some $$....) but I was able to find on one everyone's favorite auction site. We'll see how it is once it gets here. Thanks

O'Reilly's and I believe NAPA both sell mufflers. O'Reilly's carries a cheap, and a more expensive one.

I thought about the Oreilleys one...but I didn't want to turn around and buy another one in a year or two. I went with a Nelson one I found online.

I would venture to say, that the one from Cub is probably a Nelson.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
