Another run away 127 hydro
My 127 is inflicted with the run away problems. The trunion bracket as you can see has been cut and squeezed together. The cam plate wobbles within the hydro. On the trunion bracket, should I leave it alone, or square out the assembly. I can weld it up, but would need someone to provide me the id dimensions. Is there a bushing the goes over the pivot point on the cam plate? It looks like there should be a clip on the pin??

My suggestion, is to bring the Hydro Unit back to OEM Specifications with the correct parts.

Ya just can't argue with Rolands logic...
If I'm not mistaken the dimensions you are looking for are somewhere in the following links. This is my stock answer for trunnion problems. I have never had this problem with any that I have fixed. So I simply weld the slots in the corners and then file them back square again. I think someone said one of my links is dead, I don't know for sure, haven't checked them in awhile.

Yes, there should be a plastic bushing on the pin, and an "E" clip. I made a temporary / forever bushing from a plastic bottle. I added a washer to each end of the trunion springs, to "tighten them up". I know these "fixes", are not approved. But when there is no extra funds for "proper" repairs. I do what ever is necessary to keep going. By the way, the "Yella' Mule's" (149) hydro, now works great.
