Great picture of the tough guy on his big tractor! Happy belated birthday to him. The 105 looks very solid and nice. I'm not for sure how serious you are about it being his tractor, so I would just ask that you always practice sound safety with him when it comes to these machines. We've all heard stories about bad accidents with little ones around mowers--just last summer, we had 3 bad incidents in our area about feet in the blades or kids ran over--and I just wanted to remind you, that's all.

Thanks for sharing a great pic of a great gift to a fine young man on his birthday!

Thanks a lot. And he won't be mowing by himself for very long time prolly 10-12 yrs. he just drives it around or mows with me or my father... He won't let us ride a tractor without him! Lol

Thanks guys! My son loves driving my dad's cub 1641 and that's the reason I got the 105. He moves the hydro lever himself and putts around by himself(with me or my father walking next to him) I was very excited to see him drive his own cub. He actually calls it "buc" so that's it's name.

That's one happy boy. Love to see the next generation getting the Cub bug early. He will always remember his time on the 105 with dad and grandpa. I like your 105.

Nice! The 1st rideable tractor I got was a pedal at age 5. I didn't get my first CC until I bought one myself at age 27.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
