And no sooner was the 129 gone when I FINALLY got a long awaited call for my old school bus driver to come and haul away her father's old 122. I had to wait about 2 years for this one as her father is suffering from Alzheimers and would get upset quickly when asked about letting go of the tractor. It was within a mile of the house but has been sitting outside, uncovered, for at least 12 years. The rear tires aired right up and appear to be holding; the fronts at least took enough air to get round again. I pulled it out of it's spot in their yard with my 125 and got it right up on the trailer. The engine rolls but that's about it. Can't tell if it has compression yet. At least the dipstick was at the 'full' mark with non-diluted oil. Other than the exposure factor, it looks to be all there. I bet I'll have it running by the end of this week. Oh, and did I mention it came with this yard-digger-upper-thingy hanging off the back of it? Yeah, the whole set-up, pins and everything! Sometimes good things come to those who wait! And even at a price that Lew would approve of!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
