Welcome to OCC

I got deeper V pulleys at NAPA and they worked well on my 125 with my 1A tiller.

Jeff

~~~~~~~~~~
Found my post with the numbers
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...&postcount=193
The NAPA pulleys, part # 7-05212 , are deeper and wider than the original (NF) pulleys.
Original NF pulleys .460 wide and .520 deep
NAPA pulleys .563 wide and .550 deep
The person who let me know about the NAPA tiller belt for the NF ( AX-144 ) told me to use those pulleys to keep the long tiller belt in place.
It worked great for me and haven't had any issues at all using the factory belt on my mower deck.
I've seen some stamped pulleys that have a bead of weld around them in the bottom of the groove and they hold up.
You might get by with a spot welded pulley, but only on the slack side, not the power side.
Just remember when they split/break, it usually chunks the belt too so you have added cost.
Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
