Default Gas vs diesel, simple question

Do the gas engines have the same size pto pulley and mower deck pulley as the Kubota diesels?

What is the recommended engine speed to cut for the diesel vs gas?

Use the 82 series as an example.

Does the Kubota diesels turn as many rpm as say the gas Kubotas or Kohlers?

All the '82 (Not the red '82's though) used a 6" PTO pulley.

All Cub Cadet tractor engines are rated at 3600 RPM. Gas, diesel, Kohler, Kubota, Kawasaki.... ALL engines.

Yep, what J-Mech said. Any tractor above serial number 821,060 (1992 & newer) use the 6" pto and below that they use the 4.6"

So how about the 982? Same size pulley or different RPM's or? Can I interchange my haban deck from the 982 to the 2072 without any pulley size changes? Thanks!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
