I am trying to get my 1810 running again. Engine runs great with a small amount of gas poured into the intake. Still will not start. What I have done so far. 1)Removed the carb and cleaned out the bowl. 2) replaced the filter, it was leaking. 3) Drained all the gas from the tank and filled with fresh gas. 4) Reinstalled carb, same issue. I am getting fuel to the carb, so the pump is working. I ran a very very thin wire through the main jet but I did not see a way to take the jet out to clean it. This is my first Kohler Carb malfunction so any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd do a full rebuild of the carb (with as cheap as it is), and get some compressed air/carb cleaner when doing the carb. A thin piece of wire may just push the dirt deeper in. A couple things, if you pull the fuel like off of the fuel pump, does gas flow freely? Are you sure the fuel pump is working? Just a couple things to check.

I got it running. My fuel pump is a little weak. I put more gas in the tank and it now starts on its own.
