Default 169 balance gears???
got the k341 (169motor) tore down this weekend. i know everyone says to take out the balance gears and throw them but would they help in this 16hp? what do you guys think? keep them or throw them?

I took mine out of my 169 eariler this winter. Don't really see or feel any difference.

Most 12-16 hp K-series singles have them. I would take them out if you're in there for some reason. I took them out of a K341 and have had various tractors with and without balance gears, and I could never tell the difference.
