Picked this up today when I went to look at the 2182.It is an 1810.Working on getting it running, missing a few bolts on the motor mount so this messed up the drive line.
What abuse...

No I did not Johnathan,Im got the 1810 running after cleaning the mouse nest out of it,carb, gas tank, changed the oil,put a good used fuel pump in it.,and replaced some bolts on the motor mounts that were missing, and I got it running, charges well, needs a muffler and of course a drive line.I need parts for my 1811 1211 and 582 so I will keep it as a donor, prolly sell the mag 18 though.

Sell the mag18 you say? If you decide to do that, I'd be interested in knowing more. just saying, good luck whatever you do.

I have recently acquired an 1810 that has thinned my hair. Reading this post made me want ask you something. What should the drive line look like. Mine seems to have a wobble and it pushes the engine forward slightly upon engagement of the PTO. The rubber discs are torn a bit but I am not sure where to start. I can move this request iffin you want.

sounds like your motor is not bolted down to the plate, the discs need replaced if torn, the driveshaft could be torn up from the eng. not being bolted down.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
