Default 104 and the loader

Well I have been working on getting this tractor since last August 2013. The guy in the picture, the one not in the grey shirt, is the original owner. this tractor was bought new buy his dad from a now out of business IH implement dealer in South Dakota. Roger the guy in the pic, has been using the tractor since day one on his dads pig farm. It took me a while to buy her, I had to buy the 124 also. did really want the 124 but they family had to stay together. was the only way I could get the loader. I came with original book and repair manual and sometime in 1971 his dad had bought a parts book. which is way cool it covers everything up till that time which was 70 thru the 147. the complete set of narrow frame tractors. I know I did get a deal like you east coast guys but this is a great find for my parts of the world.

Man that is awesome great scores! So school me on this loader,it doesn't look like it uses the narrow frame hydraulic pump and the fluid capacity wouldn't be enough anyway, so where is the pump? And reservoir? Do they run any kind of cooler for the fluid or no? I have a number of a guy who has a danco on a 129 that I want to go look at. Just don't know a lot about them.

Well this loader is sort of a big deal to me for the fact this a K&W loader. Or known as a Kwik Way loader. it has a continuous drive pump on the left side and the oil reserve tank is under the hood in front of the gas tank. But the big deal is, for me, that it was a Company that made these for the Tractor and it is a South Dakota based Company. So this tractor was bought in a south Dakota Ih dealer, had an Ih approved attachment that was built in South Dakota, sold to a South Dakota Farmer and the tractor has never left South Dakota. Sort of why I pushed so hard for this tractor. I take better pics of it tomorrow. by the time I got done with my 1st ride joy ride it was dark.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
