Default WF hydro driveshaft ques

The hole for the drive pin on my 149s is worn and the pin is falling out. Jeff in Pa can make a new one for me but he needs measurements. I have a 1/4" Nut and bolt in there now and don't want to take the tractor out of service until I have a replacement. Can somebody provide pictures with measurements of a WF hydro shaft?
I do have a worn 125 shaft. Are the NF shafts interchangeable with WF shafts? Can I use measurements from the 125 shaft?
Thanks

Default 149 drive pin

The pin in mine was replaced with a bolt when I got it. After a few months that sheared and it fell out. I replaced it with a pin, however, I am tempted to go with a bolt if it falls out.
I just won't tell anyone.

My first bolt only lasted one snow storm. The second is a grade 5 and may last longer. The correct pin is way harder stuff than any 1/4" bolt. While replacing the the lost pin or broken bolt is fairly quick and easy it is a real PIA, especially when it breaks at the neighbor's house during a snow storm. I want to get the right stuff back in ASAP.
I bought a 125 that had a brass hinge pin in there! It lasted a surprisingly long time.

The pin is currently falling out of my driveshaft, so I also put a bolt in my 149. It lasted all mowing season and 4 snowstorms now. I want to change out the driveshaft, as I replaced this one 5 - 6 years ago, and have already had the pin fly out (yes I am a little hard on it). I was considering changing to the Quietline driveshaft, as I have a lot less trouble with these. Did anyone do a "step by step" on this site for the switch out? I am curious if everyone uses the self aligning bearing at the front, and also installs the little ball between the input shaft and the driveshaft.

I had the same problem with one of my tractors so I got a pin 1/2" longer and put a spot of weld on each end of the pin so it could'nt slip out. It was intended to be a temporary repair but, 2 years later and alot of use it's still holding up.

A single well placed centerpunch mark works wonders

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
