I fought the snow and the snow won....
 Seems the snow was the winner vs the 784 w/a 54" blade.

OK I'll take back the operator abuse comment. It's a crappy design, I broke the same thing years ago on my 1210. Replaced it with the round handle from a cheap 1/2" breaker bar that just happened to be laying around. PITA to get it to line up but after the plow season was done I welded tube into the frame for a guide.

And you should see what happens to a plow when you hit a piece of curb the snow plow dumped into your drive way then covered with snow, sorry no pic it happened 12 years ago , let's just say new plow was needed !

Speaking of weird happenings, last week at work I was clearing the sidewalks, 2nd gear, 3/4 throttle or so. Going along like normal and apparently the sidewalk has a new heave in it. This, I didn't know. Long story short, it was such a heave that the blade caught it, tripped forward but instead of going over the bump and resetting like normal, it kept caught. Before I could get to the clutch and stop, the lift arm broke and the blade ended up under my front wheels with the front end about a foot or more in the air. Doh!
