Default 1811 Headlight panel question

My 1811 headlight panel has two small holes in the center between the lights. Is there some type of emblem that goes here or is this a carryover from the I H days when the I H emblem was there? Is this the same panel as the 82 series such as 782 or 982?

The early ones had a CCC emblem on the headlight panel then it was phased out on the later ones

Yes, on all accounts. You can put a CCC emblem on it, or IH. Its the same panel as the 82 series. If your tractor came with an emblem when it was built, it was a CCC emblem. Some rolled out with none.

Mine has the holes but no emblem. I can't remember ever seeing a CCC emblem in that area only IH. I'm guessing it looks like the sticker on the back.

I'm thinking if it is 1985 or older it would have a front emblem. I had a mid year 1986 1811 and it did not have that emblem. All 1811's were made from 86 to 89.

It does have the decal on the back. There is no shadow around the holes in the panel so I do not think it ever had an emblem up front.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
