there are two 1/4" roll pins that go through that coupler thats at the end of the driveshaft you have to get a punch and pound them out.. with that said its a pain on a narrow frame. thats why you see so many narrow frames with a hole cut in the tunnel cover

A 1/4" Roll Pin Punch will make it much easier, they are designed to remove the spiral pins.
This one is long enough to fit through the creeper slot to remove it from the top: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROTO-J49014...item338256583e A set in your box would be a good thing to have. (the above one is about an inch longer than the 1/4" one in the below set, gives you a little more room to hold and hit!) http://www.sears.com/craftsman-6-pc-...1&blockType=G1 Good luck, David

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
