My 123 has a bit of a throttle problem. You have to pull the lever down to throttle up. I took it apart and tried to flip it around but its not possible. Also does not have enough throw on the throttle linkage to move the lever on the carb back against the idle screw. I know its not the right throttle lever because it had metric bolts in it. Anyone have a lever and cable off of a 123. I don't want to run it because it runs wide open at what should be idle. Would post pictures but Im not sure how to do that haha computer stupid!

Ok, here is my guess on your situation by what you have described. It sounds like your throttle cable is hooked up straight on to the linkage, instead of routing it around the front end of your machine (up by the exhaust). Please go to the technical section of our forum and download the correct manual for your tractor and look at the correct throttle linkage set up--it should loop around down by the points and curve back up to the throttle linkage and yours seems to go straight up by the carb.
Here is one way to post a pic: Save it to a file on your computer first. In your post/thread here, click on the paper clip symbol up at the top of the toolbar of your thread. Select the "browse" feature and select your file that contains the picture. Then click "Ok" at the bottom of that option menu. You can click to preview your post to make sure that it is included in your post. I meant to say the throttle lever is backwards sorry haha. Im pretty sure the throttle cable is connected in the right spot from what you told me. Thank you also for describing how to post a picture I was clicking on the Insert Pictured button and it would pop up for the picture url. Definitely will be posting lots of pictures now.

The throttle cable on a 123 should not loop around to the front of the engine.
The cable should come horizontally from the rear of the machine go straight forward and attach to the pivoting, flat bar that is bolted to the side of the engine (speed control bracket). There should be a spring (also horizontal) hooked to this same flat bar directly toward the front of the machine from the cable. The other end of this spring is attached to the bottom of the governor lever.

Just a weird thought. If you rebuild a carb, could you but the butterfly shaft in 180 degrees and cause this condition ?
